App: Al-kong Ledger · Last updated: 2026-06-28
Al-kong Ledger lets two people share one ledger through their iCloud accounts — no server, no sign-up. Your data is stored only inside the two people's Apple iCloud, not on any company server.
One person creates a ledger and sends an invite link (via any messenger, email, etc.). The other taps it to join. After that, entries by either person sync automatically to both.
Not on any company server. Ledger content is stored in the owner's iCloud, and the person who joins accesses that data. You both see the same data, but its original location is the owner's iCloud.
Whoever creates the ledger first becomes the owner. Because the original data lives in the owner's iCloud:
There is no feature to transfer ownership later. To switch owners, the other person creates a new ledger and re-invites.
Yes. Each device must be signed in to iCloud with a different Apple ID (Settings > Apple Account > iCloud). You can't share between the same Apple ID.
No. Al-kong Ledger runs on Apple's iCloud, so it works only on iPhone and iPad. If your partner uses an Android device, they can't install the app or join the ledger. To share, both people need an Apple device (signed in to iCloud).
After you tap the link, the app opens and briefly shows a “Connecting…” screen, then switches to the ledger once iCloud delivers the shared data. This can take a few seconds depending on your network. If it stalls, check the following and tap the link again:
The invite link contains an unguessable code, so there's no random access. And because this is a two-person ledger, sharing locks automatically once your partner joins. After that, even if the link leaks, no one new can join. (The two people already in stay unaffected.)
Entries made offline are saved on the device and sync automatically once you're back online. iCloud also resolves the rare case where both edit the same item at nearly the same time.
Most changes appear within seconds, but iCloud sync can lag slightly depending on network and device state. Reopening the app or waiting a moment brings everything up to date.
It starts with the regional currency of the device that created the ledger, and you can change it under More. The currency setting is shared, so it applies the same way for both people.
No. Sign in to the new device with the same Apple ID and your data carries over through iCloud.
